25th Annual Duck Drop
Come out for a day packed with family and community fun as the excitement unfolds and our friends from Vortex Helicopters let the DUCKS DROP! Our annual Rubber Duck Race hosts two different races: a community and a corporate race allowing friends, families, neighbours and business associates to compete against each other for the winning duck.
Rubber ducks will be dropped from a helicopter and the duck that lands in the bottom of the bucket, or closest to, will be named the WINNER!
Held since 2000, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Wood Buffalo’s Annual Duck Drop has been an essential fundraising event for the organization. We provide positive mentorships to youth people who face challenges like bullying, isolation, poverty, abuse, social anxiety, low self-esteem and more. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive environment for all individuals!
The Duck Drop allows us to raise awareness and funding to support the young people in our community through our free evidence-based mentoring programs.

What’s big, bold, and ready to roll into Fort McMurray for the first time ever? It’s MEGAbike – and we’re about to make some mega noise for a great cause!
Get ready for an afternoon of laughs, cheers, and community spirit as teams pedal a giant 29-person bike through town, all while raising funds for a fantastic cause. Think team building meets parade meets fundraiser – with costumes encouraged!
Whether you’re dressing up as superheroes, rockstars, or your company’s own mascot, MEGAbike is your chance to turn heads, bond with coworkers, and give back to the community in the most wheely fun way possible!
