Full Circle Mentoring is a unique, culture-based group mentoring program that connects children and youth with Indigenous traditions through storytelling, activities, crafts, and group discussions. Designed to be culturally aware, equitable, and inclusive, Full Circle fosters pride in Indigenous youth, and provides a supportive, trauma-informed environment where young people can rediscover and embrace their culture while promoting reconciliation among non-Indigenous youth in the Wood Buffalo region.

Full Circle was developed in Wood Buffalo in 2009, and since then, thousands of children and youth have experienced its transformative impact.

Through Full Circle, we aim to:

  • Inspire pride and appreciation for Indigenous culture, helping youth connect deeply with their heritage.
  • Foster reconciliation by creating opportunities for non-Indigenous youth to learn and grow in understanding of Indigenous traditions.
  • Provide positive role models for Indigenous youth, showing them the value of cultural identity and community.
  • Create an inclusive space where everyone can learn, enjoy, and celebrate Indigenous teachings together.
