Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wood Buffalo 24th Annual Rubber Duck Race is back!

Come out for a day packed with family and community fun as the excitement unfolds and our friends from Vortex Helicopters let the DUCKS DROP!
Our annual Rubber Duck Race hosts two different races: a community and a corporate race allowing friends, families, neighbours and business associates to compete against each other for the winning duck.
Rubber ducks will be dropped from a helicopter and the duck that lands in the bottom of the bucket, or closest to, will be named the WINNER!

Held since 2000, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Wood Buffalo’s Annual Rubber Duck Drop has been an essential fundraising event for the organization. We provide positive mentorships to youth people who face challenges like bullying, isolation, poverty, abuse, social anxiety, low self-esteem and more. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive environment for all individuals!

The Duck Race allows us to raise awareness and funding to support the young people in our community through our free evidence-based mentoring programs.

Want to have a duck entered in the race?
Community Ducks are $10/each (3 prizes with the grand prize a round trip for two with WestJet)
Corporate Ducks $250/each

Test your luck and buy a duck!
With your help, we can continue to support youth all over the region!
