Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wood Buffalo is a registered charity and issues official donation receipts in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency regulations. Tax‑deductible receipts are provided for gifts of cash where the donor receives no benefit in return. For the purposes of issuing receipts, a gift is defined as a transfer of cash with no goods or services received by the donor.

Receipts will be issued for donations of $20.00 or more. Purchases of raffle tickets, admission tickets, and sponsorship packages are not eligible for tax‑deductible receipts because the purchaser receives a benefit in consideration of their payment. The agency is also unable to issue tax‑deductible receipts for donated services.
